She's Back

Let me preface this by saying this is not a ploy to create content.

If you lived inside my head, you’d know content flows.

Constantly.

Endlessly.

And sometimes like it should be supervised.

I recently decided to change my logo, and I would like to formally apologize to myself.

I began sharing my hiking journey for people like me, those who thought they might be “too old” to start, or at least too late.

What I didn’t expect was that people would actually start paying attention.

Some even relying on my content.... which is both flattering and mildly terrifying.

Somewhere along the way, things shifted.

I’m still old.

Still grumpy.

But no longer a beginner who doesn’t know what she’s doing. (Allegedly.)

So recently I thought maybe it was time to look a little more classy. Or at least less feral.

In a rare and ill-advised moment of impulsiveness, I changed it.

But the feedback has confirmed I should have left well enough alone.

So I made an executive decision—without consulting the 2,600 board members—and I’m going back to the original.

And if anyone thinks I should switch back to the new logo… keep that to yourself.

Because I’ll then start judging my social media motives, and nobody has time for that level of chaos.
